Philippine Science High School Ilocos Region Campus (PSHS-IRC) is a campus of the Philippine Science High School System, a specialized public high school in the Philippines, and under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The PSHS-IRC was established in 2003 through the initiative of former Ilocos Sur 1st district Cong. Salacnib Baterina.
Philippine Science High School Ilocos Region Campus is located at Brgy. Poblacion East, Municipality of San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur. It stands on a 5-hectare campus donated by the San Ildefonso Local Government.
The establishment of the campus was initiated in Congress by Congressman Salacnib Baterina in 1999. His law is known as Republic Act 9036.
After the PSHS System Board of Trustees approved its establishment, via a resolution, in February, 2002, the local government of San Ildefonso in Ilocos Sur, donated a 5-hectare land for the construction of the school.
The school opened with its first batch of 33 students from parts of Region 1, and six teachers on July 14, 2003.
As of March 31, 2011, 201 students graduated from the school. (Batch 2007: 33 graduates, Batch 2008: 31 graduates, Batch 2009: 35, Batch 2010: 44, Batch 2011: 48)
